"No, it doesn't take a doctor, health official or "medical organization" to do the math.
What it takes is caring about every life - whether that life represents a baby, toddler, child, teenager, young adult, adult or senior citizen - because every life is important and
nobody deserves to be written off by a drug company or government agency
as an expendable casualty of public health policy."-Barbara Loe Fisher, NVIC
In his mothers words-
Hi, Where to begin. My beautiful son Wyatt was born in March 26th 2006. He develop jaundice in the hospital. I don't know why but they sent him home with me without putting him under the lights. His pediatrician said that breast feeding him will help remove the jaundice. By Easter which was April 7th of that year, he was still jaundice. We were constantly in the doctors office. By 8 weeks he was to begin his first series of shots, Polio, Hib B, DTap, etc. After the shots he turned white as a ghost and stopped moving, opening his eyes, just basically dead looking and unresponsive and quietly breathing. I was at home with him on the couch and me on the floor looking at him and he did not move. I called my Mom and she ran over. She just held him. I called the Doctors office and they kept saying it was not the vaccinations, but it could be from the DTap, so his next visit they won't give him the Pertussis part. But, it couldn't be the vaccination. Excuse me??? He got better, but develop horrible smelly diarrhea, several times in the day. He slept a lot. I only was nursing him at that time. At the Doctors office at 4 months of age they gave him more shots but no Pertussis. At 9 months I foolishly gave him the flu shot and he developed Roseola. I never gave him anymore vaccinations again. He was lost to us at that point. I truly believe he could not handle the DTap, Hib B and Polio. His immune system was week, perhaps from the Jaundice or even the Hep B vaccine given at birth. He had an adverse reaction from them, and now besides developing Autism, has many allergies, Cat, Mold, Horse, Dairy, Gluten, Wheat, etc
He had a few words in his vocabulary but lost them, he had moments of looking at you if you sang him a song, but pretty much all lights went out for him. By 1 year of age he was in the corner, rocking and lining stuff up. I fired his Doctors and went to another office, where I fired that Doctor and hired another one. l go to a Doctor who has a son with Aspergers now.
I got him help by 20 months old, put him on a GF/CF diet, supplements, with help from a D.A.N. Doctor we removed his yeast. Hired teachers to come into my house 6 days a week to work with him as well as Early Intervention Teachers, from 8am to 6pm. He started to say words at 3 years of age and I was able to potty train him by 5 years of age. He is 7 years old now, in a special School mostly with children on the Spectrum as well as Down Syndrome and CP. He can sing an entire song, or tell you "The Pledge of Allegiance" but cannot basically carry on a conversation with you. He is wonderful on the IPad, has a larger vocabulary, can pretend play now and wants to play with kids! He is a picky eater, with mostly yellow food. So, I hide veggies in his GF pancakes!
He is sweet, happy and has never had a temper tantrum, but does like to flap and bite his left hand for any reason. I just adore him and he has taught me so much. It's been a long road to get him to this point. Now we are trying infrared sauna treatments and soon trying fermented food.
I wish I was informed before I even had children.
Wyatt
